I’m a cutting-edge leadership coach, trainer, author, and researcher specializing in mindful leadership. I’m an assistant professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and the Founder and President of Leading Without Ego, LLC. My research focuses on the intersection of leadership, mindfulness, and emotions in the workplace and how they bring about employee and organizational well-being. I have a B.A. in psychology and leadership with honors from Claremont McKenna College, and a Master’s in Leadership and Ph.D. in Business Administration from Arizona State University. I have extensive industry experience in leadership training and development as well as sales and marketing in the healthcare and food industries. My academic research has been published in leading management journals and has been featured in Harvard Business Review, among other popular publications.
